Duties

Job Summary:

Regionally responsible to assist in the review, analysis and timely billing of all Deductible policies. Additionally responsible to assist in the timely and accurate calculation and processing of all Retrospective billings.  Partner with internal and offshore colleagues to communicate and report any data quality or system issues.  Also assist to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of billing and collection activity to our Producers, Client Solutions, Underwriting and our Bala Finance team

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Receive continuous training and partner with Premium Accounting Manager & Senior Operational Accounting Analyst to agree on which of the following Deductible Billing workflows will be your monthly or quarterly focus:
    1. Large/Small Workers’ Compensation (monthly & quarterly)
    2. Auto Policies (quarterly)
    3. General Liability Policies (quarterly)
    4. Package Policies (quarterly)
    5. Other Complex Policies
  2. Perform to understand and build strong working relationships with MyTmm Customer Service & TMNAS Data Warehouse teams as well as other onshore/offshore colleagues.  These individuals will provide reports and invoices that will be utilized for your review and actual billing.
  3. Review any prior uncollected balances and include a past due follow up as part of your current billing.
  4. Prepare and release timely accurate billings by email to the Insured, Broker, Client Solutions and Underwriting teams.  Identification of all current contacts may require research using other TMA systems including TED Portal, Salesforce, prior emails or phone calls.
  5. For Retrospective Premium Billings, the policies that require billing will be pre-scheduled in a manually maintained master policy database. This database should be reviewed quarterly for pre-planning.
  6. Perform timely calculation, processing, and coordinate the actual billing in Rapidsure with our offshore billing team; this may include the endorsing of codes, when necessary.
  7. Prepare and release timely accurate retrospective billings by email to the Insured and/or Broker, Client Solutions and Underwriting teams.  Identification of all current contacts may require research using other TMA systems including TED Portal, Salesforce, prior emails or phone calls.
  8. Partner with the Direct Bill Accounting onshore/offshore teams to ensure that the receipt of all Deductible and Retrospective premiums are accurately applied in the RBS accounting system.
  9. Partner with General Ledger Supervisor to make sure all of the billing and collection activity is accurate for the preparation of monthly journal entries and the release of any aging reports.
  10. Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company.

Other Functions:

1. Perform special projects and other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred (completion of accounting courses preferred)

2. Strong oral and written communication skills

3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

4. MS Office and must have strong excel skills

5. Prior Insurance and/or Claims experience a plus

6. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize time to meet all deadlines
