Duties

Handle company's bank accounts and monthly reconciliation processes.  Handle daily bank processes.  Handle company’s income reconciliation processes. Participate in the annual accounting audit preparation. Handle general ledger functions.  Handle OFAC processes.  Handle 1099-MISC reporting processes.  Participate in accounting’s disaster recovery plan.  Participate in completing business plan and other special projects.  Document and update procedures in the manual.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Handle company's bank accounts and monthly reconciliation processes, including, but not limited to bookkeeping, processing void and stop payment requests, reviewing outstanding account balances, etc.
  2. Handle daily bank processes, including, but not limited to ACH payments, wire transfers, positive pay, etc.
  3. Prepare and enter cash posting advice in the bank reconciliation system.
  4. Prepare and enter journal vouchers in the general ledger system.
  5. Handle company's income reconciliation processes, including, but not limited to reconciling income from claims system to accounting system, researching out-of-balance amounts, updating spreadsheets, etc.
  6. Participate in the annual accounting audit preparation.
  7. Handle general ledger functions, including, but not limited to transferring financial data from bank reconciliation system to general ledger system, management fee calculation, recording payroll payments, allocations of shared cost centers, preparing trial balance, period closing, etc.
  8. Handle OFAC processes, including, but not limited to reviewing results, coordinating with other departments, reporting to management, etc.
  9. Handle 1099-MISC reporting processes, including, but not limited to reviewing W9 forms, generating 1099-MISC forms, submitting 1099-MISC data file to IRS, etc.
  10. Participate in accounting’s disaster recovery plan.
  11. Participate in completing business plan and other special projects.
  12. Document and update procedures in the manual.
  13. Maintain compliance with general accounting practice.

Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the company.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

-     College degree, preferred

-     3 to 4 years of general accounting experience

-     Ability to multi-task

-     Ability to work as team member

-     Good oral and written communication skills

-     Good organizational skills

-     Good mathematical and analytical skills

-     Proficient PC skills
