Marketing Statement:

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries.   We have been in operation since 1962 and are nationally recognized as a member of  Ward's Top 50 and rated A++ by A.M.Best.

We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, but creative thinker and problem solver to join our team as a Broker Specialist. This position would ideally be based out of one of the following locations:

Walnut Creek, CA

Scottsdale, AZ

Englewood, CO

Mission Viejo, CA

Summary:
Under broad management direction, and under authority granted by TMSIC, independently works on assignments reflecting the highest degree of technical complexity and coordination. Markets assigned products by delivering highest levels of risk assessment and technical expertise to determine acceptability. Often one-of-a-kind subject matter expert with national responsibility; not part of the normal career path.

A typical day will include the following:


Conducts analysis and applies appropriate techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of acceptability of risk. May evaluate credit quality.
Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building.
Participates in the producer management process which may include but is not limited to, premium collections.
Prepares and participates in proposals to producers and/or accounts negotiating terms and conditions.
May ensure credit quality of accounts managed while maintaining and updating account files.
Prepares account submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree: minimum 4 years of related industry (environmental consulting or underwriting)/brokerage experience: an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

CA Broker License and Surplus Lines License preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary range of $110,000-$147,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.
