We are looking for a Assistant Vice President - G/L Claims to join our team!

Job Summary:

  • This position is responsible for the direct and indirect supervision and management of Claims Supervisors, Sr. Specialists, Specialists, Sr. Examiners, and Examiners within their unit.
  • Responsible for the performance of each employee, ensuring the completion of Corporate, Department, Business Unit, and individual objectives through daily involvement and direction.
  • Responsible for the identification of problems and the recommendation and implementation of positive change to affect both technical and administrative growth within the department.
  • Assures that corporate claims handling procedures and priorities are followed, and that budget and productivity requirements are met.
  • Assures that department targets for customer service quality and priorities are met.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, evaluation and development of the claims staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in leadership roles handling complex General Liability claims.
  • Strong negotiation and investigation skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Actively engaged in the recruitment of talent through industry contacts and organizations
  • Ability to coach and influence through superior written and oral communications; explains things clearly, and challenges ideas effectively.
  • Possesses emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Ability to synthesize and draw conclusions from large amounts of data; translates the data into actions and results.
  • Embraces changes; invites feedback related to performance and deals constructively with criticism.
  • Demonstrates an advanced ability to identify risk transfer opportunities
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of the insurance industry, claims process and legal and regulatory environment.
  • Currently holds or can readily obtain all required adjuster licenses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-state adjuster licenses a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• National Range $140,000.00 - $180,000.00

• Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.
