Job Summary:

Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for a particular operating system, middleware or applications.

Essential Job Functions:

• Installs, configures, and maintains application and web server platforms on all systems
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive application library of supporting documentation
• Supports multi-tier application deployments following SDLC and Change Management best practices
• Works with internal teams and outside consultants to implement / upgrade application server software
• Updates Application Performance Management (APM) monitoring tool to ensure full coverage of production systems
• Reviews monitoring dashboards and reports to ensure system availability
• Monitors ITSM tool ticket queue to ensure SLA adherence
• Provides technical support when requested
• Troubleshoots network and application availability and performance incidents
• Actively participates in on-call rotation fielding off hours escalations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (preferably in MIS, IT, or Business) or comparable experience
• 2-5 years’ experience preferred
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC
• Knowledge of web and application server platforms (Jboss, Tomcat, IIS)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate)
• Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
• Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions
• Strategic thinking; Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
• Superior attention to detail
• Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
