Duties

We are looking for a Risk Services Trainee to join our team in either Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH or Indianapolis, IN for a June 2024 start date. 

Summary -

Supports Risk Management and Underwriting staff. Contributes, under supervision, to surveys and service plan implementation.


A typical day will include the following:

Conducts loss control surveys, analysis and develops recommendations for routine risks in a given product area.

Learns from risk management and loss prevention programs in a given product area and applies knowledge to routine surveys.

Supports and learns about relevant safety legislation and regulation as well as current loss experiences for a given product area.

Documents fundamental facts and observations from routine loss control surveys.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Sciences, Engineering, Risk Management or related field/equivalent desired.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain business relationships
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
