Duties

We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to support our Marketing Team in Bala Cynwyd, PA in a part time capacity. 

Summary – Philadelphia Insurance Companies’ Corporate Design Team is seeking a design intern to assist the team, 2-3 days a week (hybrid), with daily needs from updating graphic documents and product material, eblasts, banner ads to digital file updates and uploads. We are a hardworking, fast-paced, fun team that seeks assistance from an ambitious, professional, creative designer whose is ready to learn how an in-house design team functions and succeeds in a corporate environment.

Working under the direct supervision of the Design Manager and Team, this position will support the company’s overall Marketing/Design strategy.  It entails daily use of the Adobe Creative Suite software to update marketing material, graphic and digital files, email content, etc.  Develop an understanding of the companies brand, templates, and prior material to mimic and create a cohesive look and feel with guidance and approvals from the design team throughout.  We encourage questions and an interest in learning, excellent communication skills, timeliness, and professionalism.  This is an excellent opportunity for a new designer to learn the working flow of an in-house corporate design team.

A typical day will include the following:

• Updating, editing, exporting pdfs, properly naming and saving Marketing materials, then uploading each to Tridion (CMS) to update each product page on the website (PHLY.com).  
• Assisting the Marketing team with email creation using Salesforce/CRM, Dreamweaver, Outlook in order to build and send e-Flyers.
• Basic design needs to support and assist design team members including: resizing, organizing, exporting, uploading, formatting graphic files as requested. 
• Comfortable asking questions, following direction, and willing to learn

Qualifications

Successful Candidates will have the following: 

• College Student or young professional (1-3 years out of college)
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), comfortable with data upload to CRM, and CMS software (can be learned)
• Adobe design software (Creative Cloud) a must - good to experienced, especially with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver software, comfort with content management system uploading a plus
• Working knowledge of Motion-graphics –After Effects and Photoshop asset creation, Powtoon preferred but not required

Work schedule:

• 15-22 hours per week
• 2-3 full days or some partial days due to school schedule
• Ability to come in and work from Bala Cynwyd office, some remote days a possibility.
