Duties

Job Summary:

The TMNAS IT Security Engineer is an operational and functional resource role within the Technology Security and Risk Management function within the TMNAS IT Department.  The TMNAS IT Senior Security Engineer will enforce enterprise information security processes and solutions and will assist with the roll out and management of security solutions.  They will provide the maintenance of security standards and operating procedures and implement enterprise information security architectures and solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Contributes to the development and maintenance of information security strategy and architecture
• Analyzes business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks
• Identifies and defines system security requirements
• Manages and assists in the installation of security software products for enterprise platforms
• Compiles security status reports and dashboards
• Evaluates security solutions and performs POCs to determine suitability for company needs and presents findings and plans for upgrade to other teams
• Collaborates with the different teams within the IT department to troubleshoot issues and identify areas for improvement
• Prepares and documents engineering standards, standard operating procedures and protocols
• Provides our engineers with well-researched security advice to demonstrate vulnerabilities and provides secure development guidance for enterprise projects
• Mentors junior team members to help drive critical initiatives
• Negotiates project and product terms with vendors
• Assists with budget planning
• Participates in on-call rotation on an as needed basis

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field preferred
• SSCP, Security+ or CEH certifications preferred
• 7+ year’s relevant IT operation experience
• 5-6 years in information security preferred
• Experience with domain structures, user authentication, desktop/server administration, network security and digital signatures preferred
• Experience with Endpoint protection, web security gateway, web filtering, DLP, EDR, IDS/IPS and cloud security architecture
• Knowledge of typical organizational politics and political tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels
• Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation toward Business Units requiring financial consultation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate)
• Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
• Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions
• Strategic thinking; Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
• Superior attention to detail
• Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities
• Ability to work independently and without supervision
• Ability to work and lead effectively as part of a team

Salary range $99,000-  $121,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
