Duties

We are looking for a Surety Claims Manager to join our team nationwide.

Summary -

Supervises claims adjusters and technical support staff to manage the day-to-day handling and settlement of claims, the processing and tracking of documents, making payments, tracking trends and communicating with underwriting.

A typical day will include the following:

• Assures that corporate claims handling procedures and priorities are followed and that budget and productivity requirements are met.
• Assures that department targets for customer service quality and priorities are met.
• Participates in the hiring, training, evaluation and development of the claims staff.
• Independently adjusts Surety claims and supervises the day-to-day activities of direct reports; oversees the investigation of Surety claims.
• Provides legal support to Underwriting on higher exposure and complex matters; internal legal review and drafting of documents

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have the following:

• At least eight (8) years’ experience in Surety Claims
• Bachelor's Degree, and a Juris Doctorate is preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment
• Experience in managing day to day activities of a claim handling unit

Salary

The salary range posted is pursuant to Colorado law. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

$142,800 to $159,600

Bonus/Annual Incentive

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's Short Term Incentive Plan.
