Duties

We are looking for a Underwriting Manager to join our Underwriting - Commercial Lines team!

Summary -

Directs and oversees the insurance risk management or underwriting program for property & casualty (P&C) insurance.

A typical day will include the following:

Establishes, administers and continually improves effective P&C insurance risk evaluation strategies, processes and practices for the organization to include support technologies, appropriate business alliances and responsive service standards.

Maintains organizational profitability via the application of effective underwriting practices to both new and renewal business for all P&C insurance product lines.

Provides leadership and support for complex underwriting matters in the P&C insurance arena by assisting less experienced underwriters with more complex practices, techniques or applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is strongly Preferred

• 10 years of commercial package underwriting experience

• Two to four years of supervisory experience preferred
