Duties

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Business Analyst III to support our Data Quality efforts for TMNAS and its Group companies. This individual will leverage their broad knowledge of Data Quality and Data Governance to create metrics and KPIs of data related issues to measure the health of the data in our environment. The individual will collaborate with the business and IT teams to drive measurable improvements  and add value to our Data Driven culture. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and sustain relationships and lines of communication with key business and IT stakeholders, and to identify and collaborate with influential subject matter experts.

Candidates are expected to have an in-depth understanding of Data Quality Practices and direct hands-on experience with operationalizing them through practical methods and tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to identify practical measurements of Data Quality
• Create technical processes to measure individual Data Quality Metrics
• Measure and evaluate the health of our data environment through meaningful metrics
• Provide quantitative and qualitative data and metadata analysis on programs, projects, sub-projects, and issues, as assigned
• Work with stakeholders in identifying right Data Quality use cases, assess data through data profiling and analysis and present outcomes
• Work with stakeholders to understand, prioritize, and document business and technical needs, and to ensure alignment with overall Data Governance strategy
• Partner with architects and developers to infuse Data Quality considerations into architectural planning and design
• Establish Data quality standards, create critical Data Governance artifacts and monitor compliance of standards
• Perform special projects and other duties as may be assigned
• Manage communications between IT and business for assigned work
• Align to the maintenance and enforcement of SDLC processes, departmental standards, style requirements and all other procedures necessary for data and system integrity
• Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the Company
• Establish and build strong working relations and partnerships with IT peers and Business Units

Qualifications

Degree / Licenses and Professional Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience working in Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Lineage and Governance practices
• Experience with Data Quality measurement tools and practices is required
• Hands on experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or equivalent tool is required.
• Integration experience between Data Quality tools and Data Governance tools like Collibra is a plus
• Experience with SQL query-writing and BI tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, SSRS, etc
• Experience working in insurance industry P&C sector is preferred

Salary range $78,710-$109,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base
