Duties

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Senior Business Analyst to join our high functioning team that delivers and support services across the U.S. and Mexico to the North American businesses of the Tokio Marine Group. This role will be responsible to lead business analysis functions for day-to-day work with Philadelphia Insurance Companies and our IT teams.

This role will be a lead BA on large-scale projects and enhancements with a focus on CRM/Salesforce technology. This role will drive transformational and strategic solutions by formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs, a thorough understanding of applicable business systems, and Insurtech industry best practices.This role will work closely with vendor partners, team members, business and IT leaders to elicit and document business needs and requirements. A candidate for this position must be a self-starter and able to work in a varied, fast-paced environment as part of a service delivery function for TMNA Services (TMNAS) and its Group Companies. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead business requirements gathering for projects and enhancements
  • Manage and facilitate communications between IT teams, business, and vendors
  • Assist in formulating and designing system scope and objectives based on user needs and thorough understanding of business processes
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential solution options. Support the resolution via projects and enhancements through to production deployment
  • Perform operational support activities to triage and research production support issues, advocates for business users, and manage resolution of production defects through to production deployment
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to project team members concerning P&C insurance and system implementations
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Conduct operational support turnover activities including creation of Quick Reference Guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and other job aids as applicable
  • Lead and direct the work of supporting BA team members
  • Perform special duties and other projects as assigned
  • Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the company
  • Establish and build strong working relations and partnerships with various levels of IT team members, stakeholders, Business Units and Senior Management

Qualifications

Degree / Licenses and Professional Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Insurance Certification(s) preferred

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst required, including as the lead BA on large projects, or equivalent years of experience as an Insurance Specialist
  • Experience writing business requirements and functional specs. Ability to decompose complex business and data requirements into specifications for developers and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer and agency Salesforce implementations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with proven ability to take the initiative to accomplish goals, with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Knowledge of SDLC for both waterfall and agile methodologies.

 

Experience and Knowledge Preferred:

  • Experience with transformational or migration Salesforce projects.
  • Experience working in insurance industry P&C sector.
  • Salary range $98,840 to $114,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
