Duties

Job Summary:

Provide clerical support to management and examiners in claim handling.  Open new claims, record only files on a case by case assignment.  Coordinate all PL related claim functions.  Provide support on PL Division projects and objectives. 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Claims: Assist in opening new claims, obtaining policy information/copies of policies and entry of policy information in PL, sending claim acknowledgment letters, claims data input in PL including insured codes, product data, business parties.
  2. Handle closing litigated files after settlement or dismissal including following up regarding final invoice status, data input and closing status report.
  3. Coordinate TMM Semi-Annual Inventory Project (April, September) and TMNF/ TMM reserve project.
  4. Set up and close TMM cases in AC (entering reserve changes).
  5. Marketing/Presentations: Assist PL management, examiners, and counsel with special client related projects and claim review presentations.
  1. Data Management: Update and maintain data in PL System including input of Case Budgets, create budget approval letters, input TMNF claim numbers, etc. 
  2. Process ISO Claims reporting.
  3. Conduct monthly AC reconciliation, correct errors. 
  4. Claim documents management (paperless file, preparation of files for external audits, fax, copy, scan, mail)
  5. Maintain PL Division intranet T drive files.
  6. Assist in Technical Manual revisions as well as other manual revisions.
  7. Reporting: Provide weekly Outstanding Diary list and Management Reports to managers, counsel and examiners.  Generate loss runs and other reports as assigned.
  8. Monthly internal audit selection and filing as well as support of internal and external audits.
  9. Draft meeting minutes and document summaries.

Administration: 

  1. Scheduling/coordination of PL Division events including PL Staff Meetings.
  2. Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company.     

Other Functions:

  1. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
  2. Regular and reliable attendance.
  3. Conference room, refreshments, business travel arrangements
  4. Work in a team.

    Qualifications

    -     College Degree

    -     Good organizational skills

    -     Good mathematical and analytical ability

    -     Good oral and written communication skills. Command of English language.

    -     Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, Word, Excel, PPT

    -     Law firm or insurance carrier experience preferred

    -     Typing and spelling ability
