We are looking for a Assoc. Corporate UW Analyst to join our team
Provide data analysis and reporting to assist underwriters in improving product management processes and the profitability of their portfolio. Administer all aspects of the reinsurance program.
A typical day will include the following:
Maintain, create, upgrade, and enhance monthly, quarterly and ad hoc analytical reports such as TIV/Rate Tracker, DPO Reporting , Automatic Renewals Rate Review, Spatial Key and UC vs. ISO Rates.
Reinsurance Duties - Support all aspects of reinsurance including the analytics and decision-making process, renewal data preparation (facultative reinsurance data, FL Condos Data, etc. - quarterly for Guy Carpenter; annually for Willis), placement, reporting, maintenance, contract and administration. For facultative reinsurance, maintain the reinsurance logs, manage the Gen Re Extranet, conduct audits for large property ($100 Million) and casualty ($21 Million) accounts, and compile quarterly Gen Re $50Mil xs $100Mil bordereaux.
Limits Profiles - quarterly, compile a list of policies with limits of $15 Million and above for reporting to the reinsurers.
Product management - assist underwriters in improving the profitability of their book by making use of analytical / programming / database skills.
Surcharges, Taxes, and Fees - Serve as a member of the Surcharge Recoupments Committee. Support the progress of ongoing assessments/recoupments; aid in completing preliminary work for the assessment, including state filing paperwork, premium projections and recoupment factor computation.
Guideline Violators - Participate in conducting periodic audits of Philadelphia Insurance Companies property book of business to check for violators of the Property Catastrophe Underwriting Guidelines.
