Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Architect to join our high performing team that delivers and supports services across the U.S. and Mexico to the North American businesses of the Tokio Marine Group. As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, evaluating and presenting options for solutions, ensuring quality and alignment of multiple systems in your designs.  You will also be responsible for the development, communication, and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and the design of applications and integrations components required to support it.

We expect you to have advanced design and development skills in key technologies (articulated below) . We expect you to have a history of enterprise application and integration development and several years of experience creating enterprise architectures and solutions. We are looking for candidates to be collaborative, communicative, and confident in working with business and IT groups in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions across multiple platforms
  • Responsible for the development, communication, and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and the components required to support
  • Responsible for the analysis, solutions, design and implementation of integrations like APIs, SOAP/REST services, Middleware and Azure integration components
  • Contribute to solution roadmaps in developing the IT vision and strategy
  • Apply knowledge of enterprise architecture and standards to integration solutions
  • Produce different architecture views such as application architecture diagrams, deployment diagrams, sequence diagrams, dataflow diagrams, etc
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies / products / trends related to architectural solutions
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals & objectives
  • Collaborate with business to understand business area opportunities and challenges, process or system impacts to all related business or systems areas when implementing recommended solution to obtain business objectives
  • Provide technical leadership to the integration team for various projects and technical mentorship and guidance to a team of developers
  • Participate in analysis, design and technical implementation
  • Contribute to the technical implementation of projects when required
  • Work closely with the Solutions Architecture group to assist in developing the IT vision and strategy
  • Collaborate with multiple technology teams (PMO, Integration services, EA, Infrastructure, Security and Data warehouse) to define integration requirements and solutions and ensure proper implementation
  • Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the Company


Degree / Licenses and Professional Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant Engineering discipline, MIS or a related technical discipline is preferable


  • 8+ years of experience in Integration Architecture
  • 5+ years development experience in .NET
  • Proven Azure development and integration work experience with Azure PaaS and SaaS technologies including API management, Service Bus, web hooks, APIs,  Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
  • Strong expertise in the area of middleware, integration, web services, Soap/Rest, API gateways and security standards related to integration
  • 5+ years professional development experience with SQL using Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Experience in developing and consuming SOAP, JSON and REST APIs , implementing multiple systems integration points
  • Experience with Integration best practices, design principles and approaches for a range of application styles and technologies to help guide and steer decisions
  • Experience working in a Dev/Ops environment with Continuous Integration and Deployment via Azure DevOps Services
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools
  • Experience using architecture modeling tools
  • Experience with  Java (J2EE)  and Informatica is preferred
  • Experience working with offshore or managed services model, managing team of developers and offshore resources is preferred
  • Experience working with other cloud technologies and platforms is a plus
  • Experience working in insurance industry P&C sector is a plus


  • Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Advanced knowledge of SOA principles, design patterns, implementation methodologies, and related tools
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, PaaS and cloud application design pattern
  • Strong Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies required
  • Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile development processes, projects and deliverables
  • Deep understanding of database design and data modeling
  • Knowledge of enterprise portal design concepts such as integration, security, collaboration, personalization, SSO, taxonomy classification and federation
  • Strong knowledge of Unit testing frameworks and SOAPUI/ReadyAPI/Postman
